Q. Are there trial lessons?
A. There are no trial lessons, but on your first time, you can attend a class for just 2,000 yen. From the second time onwards, each session will be 3,200 yen. If you plan to continue your lessons, we recommend purchasing a set of tickets, which are available for either 4 or 10 sessions.
Q. When should I arrive at the studio?
A. If it’s your first time, we will need you to fill out a registration form, so please come a little early. You will need time to change as well. We recommend you arrive 20 minutes before the class.
Q. What should I bring?
A. Including yoga mats, you can rent everything you need for yoga at the studio, free of charge. Just bring clothes you can move around in and a towel to wipe your sweat.
Q. Is the schedule always the same?
A. The schedule will not change drastically. However, on special occasions such as when Kumiko Mack, founder of Be Yoga who lives in New York, comes to Japan, there may be schedule adjustments due to special classes, event workshops, instructor training course, and instructor replacement.
Once you have registered, we will send out such notifications via our email newsletter. You can also check our website, Facebook Page, Twitter account and the notice board in our studio. To be sure, please double-check the schedule on the Be Yoga Japan website before coming.
Q. Are there showers and lockers?
A. There are no showers. Unlike hot yoga or Bikram Yoga, with ISHTA Yoga you will not be covered in sweat. Therefore, we believe a change of clothes and a towel will do the job. There is a shelf in the studio for your bags, but there are no lockers, so please keep your valuables nearby.
Q. I’m a man, can I attend classes at Be Yoga Japan?
A. This isn’t a woman-only studio, so please feel free to come by. Our goal is to help you achieve a well-balanced body and mind for a better tomorrow. We look forward to serving you.
