WORKSHOP CONTENT
On Sunday the 7th of February, a Postpartum Yoga Instruction Workshop will be held!
We will learn about the changes in the mind and body as well as the changes in daily life after giving a birth. We will also study what kinds of body posture, breathing techniques and mediation are necessary for those changes.
Immediately after the birth, the balance of the body and mind, being different from that of during the gestation, becomes easy to collapse due to the various changes. In the lecture, you will learn which body postures can be used during the 3 months and 6 months since they have given birth. By adding breathing techniques and meditation, you will know how to teach yoga to new mothers and help them adapt through balancing the mind and body at the same time.

As the foremost teacher of ISHTA Yoga in Japan, she leads both 200 and 500 hour instructor training courses that are registered with the Yoga Alliance, in addition to giving a wide variety of workshops.

Sayaka Nagano
For 4 years Sayaka worked as a therapist at a salon. After her first child was born, she learnt and felt the deep emotion and importance for women of the progression from prenatal to post partum. Since then, her fascination led her to become a birth coordinator to teach many that are in need of information that would gently help their mind and body during these processes.
In May 2008, Sayaka opened “Salon de Birth” to offer Aromatherapy and treatments for body, facial treatments, healing sessions and birth coordination.
Outside, she has also lectured at schools and PTA meetings to teenagers and parents about life and parenting. For full details on her courses and lectures, please see ameblo.jp/salon-de-birth (in Japanese).
