Get your mats ready! Asia’s biggest yoga event, Yogafest Yokohama 2014, will be unfurling at Pacifico Yokohama in September 2014, with group lessons and showcases by top yoga teachers from Japan and around the world.
You’ll need to purchase tickets in order to take part in most of the classes and workshops, though the showcases are open to all – and there’ll also be free lessons for absolute beginners.
Our studio director and founder, Kumiko Mack, will be teaching two sessions as follows.

ABOUT THE TEACHER
Kumiko Mack is the owner of Be Yoga Japan, a yoga studio located in Tokyo’s Minami-azabu district. As the foremost teacher of ISHTA Yoga in Japan, she leads both 200 and 500 hour instructor training courses that are registered with the Yoga Alliance, in addition to giving a wide variety of workshops. A resident of New York since 1987, Kumiko continues to study Tantra under her teacher, Alan Finger, founder of ISHTA Yoga, and was bestowed the title of Yogiraj from Alan in 2011.
